They are the most talented and wonderful group of photographers, and I'm so grateful to have them capture this costume for me!! They prove again and again to be completely outstanding.
Words cannot express how I feel about this costume... Ooooh the hell it put me through. I originally had a red body suit, but four days before the convention I realized how terrible it looked up against the armor so I had a metal break down and frantically begun sewing onto a black leotard. I honestly like the way it turned out, even if it is not 100% accurate to the original figurine design. I kinda like that it's not, because it makes my cosplay 100% unique
All of the armor is made out of craft foam, which was warped with a heat gun, then detailed with a dremel. It was coated in Plasti-Dip which gave it the hard finish, then primed before being spray painted. The details were drawn in with sharpies. The eyepatch (not pictured) was also made out of foam, which was hotglued to some elastic straps. We purchased a black leotard, which we then brought the neckline down on and sewed on some details to give it a more plugsuit look. This is our first time ever crafting a complete cosplay from hand... a very difficult cosplay to start out with. It was debuted at Metrocon 2013, and next time I wear it we hope to finish a Lance of Longinus to pair with it.
